The Lions Eye Bank for Long Island had a very special visitor on February 7, 2004.  International Director, Lion Lowell J. Bonds, his wife Carolyn  from Hoover Alabama.  Guests of 20 K-1 District Governor, Lion John Noel.

Director Bonds and Mrs. Bonds had spent a part of their day visiting our Eye Bank and meeting with members of our Board of Directors as well as several of our District Governors and Past District Governors.  The Eye Bank staff as well as several Eye Bank Board members spent the time showing Mr. and Mrs.Bonds our wonderful facilities and spoke about the history of the Eye Bank.  Chairman, Steven Lesetz, PDG presented them with Eye Bank gifts and Past Chairman - Elliott Krakauer made them both honorary corneal transporters for the day.

We would like to thank Mr. Bonds and Mrs. Bonds  for taking the time to visit our Eye Bank and we hope their experience was a pleasurable one.  (SEE PHOTOS BELOW)

 On March 5, 2004 the Lions Eye Bank for Long Island had the pleasure of meeting with Past International Director Pat Shurley. Guests of 20 K-2 District Governor, Lion Anthony Paradiso.  Ms. Shurley took a tour of our eye bank facilities and well as attending a lecture by the Eye Bank Executive Director Stephen Knapik.  Eye Bank Chairman Steven Lesetz, PDG welcomed Ms. Shurley and explained the important mission of the Lions Eye Bank for Long Island.  As always Past Chairman Lion Elliott Krakauer made Ms. Shurley a honorary corneal transporters for the day.
